capsule berlin and Bleak teamed up to record a stream pairing established DJs with newcomer DJs to perform hybrid B2B sets together on October 8th, 2022 at Tennis Bar in Berlin.

The initiative was intended as a learning experience for the newcomers (AKA the mentees) and was an opportunity for the established DJs (AKA the mentors) to give back to the community by sharing their knowledge and experience. It was also intended to breed new connections between everyone involved and, of course, be a space for artists and attendees to share what we all love the most — electronic dance music.

The mentees applied through an open call, and were matched with a fitting mentor. The pairs was invited to practice sessions facilitated by the collectives before performing together in front of a cam and a crowd. Watch the hot recordings from the night here:
